Kyle York, GM & VP, Product Strategy
Kyle York is the General Manager and Vice President of Product Strategy for the Dyn Global Business Unit; he has been a long-time Dyn executive, having joined in 2008. Over the years, Kyle has spearheaded company growth and corporate strategy, which led to the acquisition by Oracle (NYSE: ORCL). In his current role, Kyle focuses on product/business strategy and overall global business unit (GBU) operations.
As an expert in the global Internet, cloud, SaaS/IaaS, and technology markets and trends, Kyle has been featured in The New York Times. USA Today, WSJ, NPR ‘All Tech Considered’, PBS Frontline, Washington Post, Wired, TechCrunch, Entrepreneur & Web Hosting Industry Review. He has been a guest speaker at many universities and technology conferences globally, such as Harvard, Stetson, Bentley, SNHU, Gartner, Launch, The Next Web, Web Summit, CIO Summit, HostingCon, and Interop.
Kyle has spent the entirety of his career working in the “as-a-service” business model. Prior to joining Dyn, Kyle spent six years at SaaS company, WhippleHill Communications, Inc., acquired by Blackbaud Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB). In addition to his efforts at Dyn, Kyle is also a board member, advisor and investor in several fast growth startups.He holds a BS in Marketing from Bentley University and lives in New Hampshire, with his wife and three kids.
Scott Hilton, GM & VP, Product Development
Scott Hilton is General Manager and Vice President of Product Development for the Oracle Dyn GBU, where he is responsible for the product engineering, customer support and technical operations teams for Oracle Dyn’s industry-leading portfolio of Edge Services including (DNS, Email Delivery, Web Application Firewall, DDOS Mitigation, and Internet Monitoring). Scott oversees the overall global business unit (GBU) product development and Technical Operations organizations and has been a critical leader at Oracle Dyn since early 2013.
Scott specializes in driving growth strategies for product companies, having spent more than 15 years doing just that for SpringTide Networks, Lucent Technologies (Nasdaq: ALU), 3com (Nasdaq: COMS), and Sycamore Networks (Nasdaq: SCMR).
Scott is also an accomplished inventor and entrepreneur. He currently holds two patents in the network space — one for virtual private networks (VPN) automation and the other for mobile location-based services. He is also the founder of Spatial Adventures, a SaaS-based mobile tourism service.
Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and a Master in Science of Electrical Engineering degree from George Mason University. He is also a military veteran, having served as a Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy. He lives in Groton, MA, with his wife and two children.
Dave Connors, VP, Technical Operations
Dave Connors is Vice President of Technical Operations for the Dyn GBU, where he is responsible for Technical Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Security and Customer Support. Dave has been at Dyn since early 2013, leading tremendous business and traffic growth in scaling Dyn as the best DNS network in the world.
He brings more than 20 years of technology and business experience to Dyn with a strong focus on leadership, process innovation and internet-based service delivery including Cloud, SaaS and IaaS. Before coming to Dyn, Dave served as the VP of Operations at Constant Contact and held senior leadership positions at BEA Systems, Revenio, and Affiliated Computer Services.
Dave has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Yale University. He lives in Windham, NH with his wife and two daughters.
Dave Allen, VP, Business Operations and Strategy
Dave Allen is Vice President of Business Operations and Strategy for the Dyn GBU, where he is responsible for overall business operations, including: business process, back office, and business metric/KPI management. He also leads a team focused on sales and marketing operations, information systems and technology, and legal, to ensure the global business unit (GBU) runs effectively and efficiently.
Dave writes regularly on internet protocol and governance, specifically data sovereignty issues, having been published IT Pro Portal, Info Security, Business Cloud News and CircleID. His expertise around critical internet infrastructure architecture, and its corresponding policies and standards make Dave a sought after thought leader on global internet events.
Dave is an alumnus of Nixon Peabody LLP, where he practiced in the Global Business Transactions and Private Equity groups. Dave is a graduate of both the University of New Hampshire and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Dave lives in New Hampshire with his wife and son.
Phil Francisco, VP, Product Marketing
Phil Francisco is Vice President of Product Marketing at Dyn where he is responsible for aligning Dyn’s strategy, products, customers, demand generation, communications and market.
Previously, Phil was Vice President of Data Management Products and Strategy for the IBM Analytics portfolio of database and Hadoop product offerings and Netezza products, a role he held both prior and subsequent to the acquisition of Netezza by IBM. Prior to Netezza, he held Vice President of Marketing and Product Management roles at PhotonEx and Lucent Technologies' Optical Networking Group. In addition, he has more than 10 years of experience in software, hardware, and systems engineering at AT&T/Lucent Bell Laboratories.
Phil holds a patent in advanced optical network architectures. Additionally, he holds BSE degrees in Computer Science Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, an MSE in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke University - Fuqua School of Business. He and his wife live in Groton, MA.
Phil Stanhope, VP, Technology Strategy
Phil Stanhope is Vice President of Technology Strategy for the Dyn GBU, where his focus is on operating at the intersection of business and technology. He is responsible the strategy and planning for telemetry services that help unify engineering, infrastructure, architecture, systems engineering, analytics, security, cloud and CDN monitoring and network operations.
Phil is a known thought leader in the industry, having served on numerous advisory boards and technology adoption programs over the past 25 years. He is a regular speaker at conferences like Velocity, Security, Monitorama and WebPerfDays. He was the author of “Get in the Groove” a Wiley published book focused on building peer-to-peer solutions with the Groove (Microsoft) platform.
Phil has held technology and executive leadership positions at companies like Yottaa, Wimba, which was acquired by Blackboard in 2010, and he was the Chief Architect at Aspen Technology (Nasdaq: AZPN), CTO at Adesso Systems, Director at Perot Systems, which was acquired by Dell (Nasdaq: DELL), founder of Cambridge Object Technologies, which was acquired by Perot Systems, and Platform Architect at Lotus, which was acquired by IBM (NYSE: IBM).Phil has a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He and his wife live in Newburyport, MA.
