Create Account

Step 1: Create your Oracle Cloud account

Note: The following capabilities are not currently supported in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DNS: Webhop (HTTP redirect), dynamic DNS, zone transfer to external name servers.

A: Sign up for your account (with $300 credit)

Visit our account sign up and provide the necessary information (Note: credit card will not be charged unless you elect to upgrade your account).

B: Wait to receive account confirmation

After submitting the form, wait for the confirmation page to appear (it may take up to 30 seconds).

Step 2: Log in and reset account password

A: Receive Oracle Cloud welcome email

Click the "Get Started with Oracle Cloud" button to proceed to the account log in. (Note: if you haven't received the email after 15 minutes, check your spam folder).

B: Reset your account password

Log in with the credentials found in your welcome email. For security purposes, please reset your password.

Step 3: Navigate to DNS and create a zone

A: Click "Manage a domain"

"Manage a domain" is found in the "DNS Zone Management" section in the bottom right of the console page.

B: Pick a compartment

Select your compartment from the drop down menu on the lower left to get to the DNS zone setup page.

C: Setup DNS zone

Click "Create Zone" to add a zone to your Managed DNS instance.

A: Review our "Getting Started Guide" for DNS

Learn about some of the basics of DNS, as well as how to take the first steps in using Oracle Cloud DNS; such as how to set up your first zone, or add a DNS record.

B: Review DNS product documentation

Get access to more technical DNS documentation, as well as information about all other Oracle Cloud products and services.

Step 5: Upgrade your account after 30 day promotion

Note: This is required in order to continue your DNS service after the promotional period is over. If not, your DNS services (and any other Oracle Cloud services) will be deactivated.

A: Navigate to "Payment Method" in console

From the main menu, locate "Billing" and then "Payment Method" to upgrade to a paid (Pay As You Go) account and continue your service post-trial.

B: Select and confirm "Pay As You Go" option

Access all Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services with no minimum term and no prepayment required.
