Features of Gauge

Personal Performance

Your personal performance is averaged over 5-minute increments based on the timing collected from the sites you're browsing. If you've browsed any of the Alexa 100,000 we provide global performance data so you can see how your personal performance stacks up against others browsing the same site.

Geo Performance

Where in the world is the website you are accessing? Especially with unfamiliar websites, you might be surprised by the answer. Your sites are mapped based on the host IP address, and you can visualize latency between you and specific geographic locations of numerous cloud providers.

Request Timing Breakdown

Drill down into the host name paths (by clicking on the row) to see a more detailed breakdown of how much time each part of the request takes, from DNS lookup to DOM initialization (Document Object Model - includes time to get web page content like text, graphics, videos, etc.).

Comparison Data

Your personal performance is averaged over 5 minute increments based on the timing collected from the sites you're browsing. If you've browsed any of the Alexa 100,000 we provide global performance data so you can see how your personal performance stacks up against others browsing the same site.
