For 15 years, Dyn has been at the forefront of changing technology trends. In 2001, we were founded to provide remote access to users around the world who wanted the freedom associated with accessing your computer anywhere. In 2007, we understood that the internet was driving a digital revolution and that for businesses to reach new customers in every corner of the globe, they would need a reliable web presence. In response, we launched one of the first cloud-based Managed DNS platforms and helped companies like Twitter, Pandora and Etsy change what it means to be a business.
In 2014, we understood that as more enterprises make the cloud and public internet a critical part of their business network, they would need a way to measure its performance through data. This dependency is why we are so passionate about our mission to be the company connecting people, content and commerce through a single global internet.
Today, we are once again looking into the future. We see that for enterprises to thrive in the digital, always-on business environment, they need a full-stack cloud platform provider. Such a platform would need to have best-of-breed services at every layer.
The cloud team at Oracle are doing exactly that and we think it’s game-changing. They are building the world’s most comprehensive cloud computing platform from the ground up, with an incredible team. This is why we are proud to announce that Dyn’s leading cloud-based Internet Performance and Domain Name System (DNS) solutions are joining Oracle.
While Oracle already offers enterprise-class IaaS and PaaS for Internet applications and cloud service, Managed DNS and its corresponding value added services are critical core components of being a full-stack cloud platform provider. Adding Dyn’s best-in-class DNS solution to Oracle cloud will provide enterprise customers a one-stop shop for infrastructure services. This combination will bring deeper value to our customers.
This is an exciting next step and it is one we believe will have a lasting impact on the performance of the internet. It is an exciting day. Thank you to everyone who played a part in our journey.
