In setting up what was designed to be our first user conference, we did the traditional: recruited speakers, booked a venue (our new office…this was easy!), set up an agenda, set a ticket price, built a microsite and boom: Geek Summer Camp was born.
But we are also realistic about the Internet infrastructure space and that a lot of people (even those who’ve been in technology for years) haven’t fully embraced the power of the pieces that Dyn offers for our customers and their customers — specifically within our global DNS, traffic management & email delivery offerings.
We see it as our responsibility to educate the world and to help create evangelists by shining a light on what’s happening in our space and why so many top technologists are geeked up to talk about it. Our job is to help you scale: your technology, your revenue, your mission.
What better way to accomplish that than by making the very first Geek Summer Camp a free event?
No typo here. We scrapped our original plan to charge and turn the conventional conference approach on its head. We’ve always done things the way they weren’t supposed to be done. We rolled out a campaign called ‘DNS Is Sexy’ in an industry not known for drawing attention to itself. We stayed in Manchester, NH, when we had the opportunity to move to a more “tech-friendly” haven. We took Series A funding years and years after we were told we had to. We like destroying the status quo and establishing our own rules.
Now it’s up to you to do the same.
We’ve secured a bad IaaS keynote lineup of keynotes (Cricket Liu, Mark Imbriaco, Joshua Baer, Dean Kamen and more to be announced) and panelists representing some of the biggest and most important names in tech: Netflix, Infoblox, ReturnPath, Box, Etsy and more. Come and learn how to scale from the experts in scale.
We’re covering the expense for this amazing lineup of speakers to attend. We’re opening the doors for two days to our home for 200+ people to be here. We are gearing up for what we hope will be a cornerstone event in our company’s history. All you need to do is sign up, be here and be ready to learn. (That’s the easy part!) We even secured hotels at a discount for those that will stay and with no event admission, you have no excuse not to come.
We also created this handy letter for you to give to your boss. I mean, how much else can we do?
You will help make Geek Summer Camp a success by your attendance. It’s two days in August in beautiful southern New Hampshire at an event that will have you learning about web speed & performance, messaging and more with lots of value-added surprises. Throw in a kick-IaaS Music Meets Tech Dyntini featuring the Parlotones and you have the best of all worlds.
