Manchester, NH (August 15, 2012) – Dyn, the world leader in Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), announced John Adams of Twitter, Mike Rembetsy of Etsy, Kai Gray of Carbonite and Josh Bancroft of Box as the newest members of their Thought Leader Council (TLC), which informally advises the company on their brand, products and future growth.
“Finding, inviting and securing the newest members for our TLC was a fun process,” said Matt Toy, Dyn VP, Client Services. “These four will be key contributors on an already impressive council that will continue to give us great insight on our future plans.”
The four new TLC members join Artur Bergman of Fastly, Kevin Chu of Digitaria, Mark Imbriaco of LivingSocial, Brandon Mason of Upstream Software, Lenny Tropiano of Homeaway Inc., Jason Evans of stackpop, Eric Rosenberry of iovation, Inc. and Doug Smart of WhippleHill on the council.
Dyn gained their strong reputation in both the managed DNS and Email Delivery industries by listening to clients, partners and prospects, soliciting feedback whenever possible. With that in mind, the TLC was formed in 2009, initially dubbed “a sounding board and launching pad” from some of the company’s most interesting and diverse enterprise clients.
The group first met in person last year when they toured Dyn’s 24,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Manchester, New Hampshire, conducted a full day meeting with several of Dyn’s executives and managers and learned more about the group they were contributing feedback to and about.
Following feedback from TLC members, Dyn moved Geo Traffic Management — an advanced feature that gives DynECT Managed DNS clients the ability to control DNS responses based on more specific geographic rule sets — up on its road map, releasing it this past year to great response.
This year’s TLC gathering will be held over two days on Wednesday, Aug. 15 and Thursday, Aug. 16, in Manchester. Wednesday will be punctuated with a DynTini to celebrate the one-year anniversary of opening the doors to the new corporate office. Musical guests include Brown Bird and Joe Young.
While the HQ is only a year old, expansions have already occurred. The TLC members will be able to see an additional 6,000 square feet that houses the company’s growing sales team. They will also enjoy a meal at Dyn’s new employee-only café, which is the first farm to table certified private dining facility in New Hampshire.
“These are some of the most innovative companies on the web,” said Josh Delisle, Dyn VP, Worldwide Sales. “If something is a need for them today, it will be a need for other companies tomorrow. Their perspectives on Internet Infrastructure-as-a-Service; how it helps them do their job, what additional problems it can solve and what future innovations would be relevant to their business, allows us to continue leading the IaaS space.”
Incorporated in 2001, Dyn is the worldwide Internet Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) leader, powering Managed DNS and Email Delivery for more than four million enterprise, small business and personal users. With nearly 20 data centers around the world and industry-leading uptime for over 10 years, Dyn’s commitment to customer relationships and engineering excellence shines every day. Uptime is the Bottom Line.
