Planes, Trains And Automobiles: 11 Dyn Events/Speaking Gigs In 19 Days

Most of our readers know that Dyn lives by the mantra ‘Go Big or Go Home.’ That is why over the course of a year, we attend more than 75 conferences and expos, repping the Dyn brand and sharing our love of DNS and Email Delivery.

But this coming stretch is legendary, even for us.

In a nineteen day run from September 17 through October 5, we’ll be at 11 different conferences on two continents…and we won’t just be wallflowers. We’ll be speaking, holding down a booth presence, handing out swag and, of course, throwing a DynTini/Music Meets Tech event or two.

Think your fall is busy with raking leaves and cleaning out the gutters? Check out this worldwide whirlwind and plot out your course to come meet us during the wildest three weeks on our 2012 event calendar.

Sept. 17-19: Smashing Conference

Dyn’s UX team of Lynda Elliott and Dan McAuliffe will be attending this first-ever conference put on by Smashing Magazine, one that brings together the web design community. This conference gets street cred for being the furthest away, as it will be held in Frieburg, Germany. Viel Glück, Lynda and Dan!

Sept. 17: Subscribed 2012

Dyn COO Gray Chynoweth will be presenting in the “Grow Global” session of this Zuora sponsored event, which is being held in San Francisco.

Sept. 19-20: ad:tech London

ad:tech London connects the digital media & marketing community for two days of purposeful learning and networking. Earlier this month, Dyn made an acquisition to strengthen its ecommerce and online advertising efforts, so naturally we’ll be in attendance.

Sept. 19: Music Meets Tech: San Franciscotravel

While all the events we attend are awesome, sometimes you’ve just got to throw your own party. That’s exactly what we’re doing in San Francisco when Shane Alexander, an LA-based solo artist, performs. We’ve been hosting DynTinis for years in our Manchester, New Hampshire, office. Now it is time to share the fun with the left coast!

Sept. 22-24: Mashable Social Good Summit

Why is an Infrastructure as a Service company attending a social good summit? Because we believe in giving back. Representatives from DynCares, the philanthropic arm of the company, will be in attendance learning better ways to spread our mission of increasing technology education.

Sept. 24-26: edUI 2012

This is a conference that allows web professionals who work for colleges, universities, libraries, etc. to learn from experts. That’s why Dyn UI/UX Manager Lara Swanson will be giving a talk on ‘A/B Testing To Create Happy Users’. Come check it out on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 10:15 AM and be inspired.

Sept. 27-28: Surge

Surge brings together the best minds in the Internet industry. So naturally it makes sense that Dyn Chief Scientist Tom Daly will be making a presentation. Daly will give a talk titled, “”The Architecture Behind Super Fast DNS – Routing, Redundancy & Geography” on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 1:30 p.m. Daly gave a similar talk at Velocity in Santa Clara and the crowd was thoroughly impressed.

While many will come to Surge to hear Daly speak, they’ll be rewarded with a Music Meets Tech event later that night with a band, food and drinks.

Oct. 1-4: Interop NY

Dyn Director of Email Mike Veilleux will treat the audience of Interop NY to an insightful look behind-the-scenes of email delivery. Veilleux’s talk is titled, “Predicting Deliverability” and will be given on Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 12-12:20 p.m. We’ll also have a street team roaming NYC, taking pictures and meeting our clients and friends. Use the hashtag #DynNYC to see where they’re at and request a visit!

Since this stretch is taking Dyn to new heights, it is only fitting that we’ll be hosting a cocktail reception at the Sky Room, New York’s highest rooftop lounge. This invite-only party features the music of Aunt Martha and kicks off at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3. Want to get on the list? Tweet us!

Oct. 2-4: Velocity Europe

With our new Brighton, UK, office, which is kicking IaaS in the EMEA market, Dyn is totally committed to the international market. Velocity is the best conference on Internet speed and members of Dyn’s sales, marketing, client services and engineering teams will be talking about our reputation for low latency. We’ll be doing a Music Meets Tech event for attendees with our friends from Quiet Life.

Oct. 3-4: eCommerce Expo

While Velocity is going on, another team of Dyn ambassadors will be attending the eCommerce Expo, which is the UK’s number one event dedicated to all aspects of selling online. One huge aspect of selling online is client services. Dyn VP of Client Services Matt Toy will be reminding businesses that the key to good customer relationships is following the “Golden Rule.” We’ll be doing a Music Meets Tech event for attendees with our friends from Quiet Life.

Oct. 3-5: Video World Conference & Expo

Our final event of the stretch really highlights Dyn’s diversity. Their aren’t many IaaS companies at a video conference but then again, there aren’t many Dyns. Ryan O’Hara, the mad genius of our business development team, will be giving a presentation on our viral “Dyn’s Ready” campaign — the same one that CNN Money/Fortune gave a shoutout to. O’Hara will be evangelizing the use of video as a legitimate prospecting tool.

Phew, that is a world tour…but that’s not all. The Dublin Web Summit, Amazon’s first user conference and more are on tap for the duration of ’12. Lucky for us, there’s nothing scheduled around the holidays…yet.
