Oracle Dyn Introduces Cloud Edge Influencer Program

As we approach the midway point of 2017, the huge impacts of the global cloud migration are continuing to come into focus. Not only is the cloud the preeminent birthplace of app development and innovation (with DevOps taking center stage as a developer core competency), it has also become the key driver of IT and business strategy at most large organization – and this trend will only continue for the foreseeable future.

CIO has estimated the global public cloud market to exceed $146 billion in 2017 and as large Enterprise businesses continue to realize the innovation, flexibility, security and cost-saving advantages of cloud based data, applications and workflows this market will continue its escalation. Mark Hurd, Oracle CEO, underscored this trend during his Oracle CloudWorld talk in January, predicting that in fewer than eight years 80 percent of IT spend will be on innovation and cloud and on-premise data center usage would drop by 80 percent.

The challenges and opportunities for businesses in the midst of this network sea change will be many. And as the company with the fastest growing cloud architecture in the world, we are committed to providing the market with unique insights that will help empower and enable IT execs planning and executing this transition.

Our new Oracle Cloud Edge Influencer program will be just one step in our continued effort to educate the market about the cloud transformation and to provide diverse viewpoints on the many issues facing IT leaders. Over the coming weeks we’ll begin publishing blogs that speak to the broad cloud migration with an emphasis on the cloud edge and other focused viewpoints. The commentary will come from recognized voices in the tech industry – former journalists, cloud insiders and your tech peers.

We’re excited to kickoff this program and look forward to your input and feedback on the topics we’ll be exploring.
