After a few months of ramping up, I’m happy to introduce myself to the Dyn audience. For those who may not know, I am in charge of sales and marketing with a heavy focus on further introducing DynECT Managed DNS to the enterprise marketplace.
We’ve seen great success so far as our first quarter has proved to be our best since launching the offering in 2007. Needless to say, we expect big things for the future and starting this week, we’re are on a full-out trade show, PR and marketing blitz. This is where the mantra of “Go Big or Go Home” comes in. The goals are to build awareness through education and generate more and more leads.
Simple sales equation: more leads equal more prospects with equal more clients. We’re well on our way and if we do a good job, you’ll be seeing us in a myriad of places throughout the year.
Right now, we’re at Search Engine Strategies in NYC where clients like Twitter, Joyent and Tynt are ruling the discussions. We’re enjoying walking around and meeting with people about all things SEO as it is a big part of our business. We’re happy to see how many ad publishers, agencies, technologies, exchanges and networks that are here as ad/media seems to be our hottest vertical these days. (Well, that and Web 2.0!)
Tonight. we grabbed dinner with Elad Efraim, a newly named member of our soon-to-be announced Thought Leader Council. Elad is the CTO of eXelate, a behavioral targeting ad exchange that is seeing great success and growth in their space. They are psyched about our Traffic Management offering and we are excited about our evolving relationship.
I’ll be tweeting from both my account and Dyn’s from the road if you want to follow and keep on the lookout for my future posts and highlight reels we’ll be putting together after each conference. They should entertain, inform, and enlighten on all things Dyn and IaaS.
