Manchester, NH — While Dyn is proud is be part of a growing and thriving technology market in New England, the company announced today it has recently opened a new office in a region known for being the cradle of Internet technology: San Francisco, CA.
Dyn’s new Bay Area office is the second regional location the Internet Infrastructure leader has opened in 2011 with London, England, opening its doors this past June with three current employees aboard.
Combined with a new 24,000-square foot headquarters opening in Manchester, NH, this past summer, Dyn continues to grow and better serve its growing DNS and Email customer base and prepare itself for continued market growth.
“The move to San Francisco was a long time coming for us, but we had to be smart and wait for the right situation that didn’t alter our approach to building the business organically,” Dyn’s VP of Sales and Marketing Kyle York explained.
“For a company ridiculously focused on brand, style, community and culture, a big piece of getting it right was getting the right personnel in place. We’ve now got the foundation in place to scale in all three of our office locations. Hopefully our competitors are on their heels,” he continued.
Two West Coast veterans, Scott Smith and Will Tuttle, opened the San Francisco office. As a Senior Account Representative, Smith focuses on securing and supporting Dyn’s fast-growing and diverse Web enterprise customer base. Before moving to California, the BYU-educated Smith spent 14 months learning the craft in Dyn’s Manchester, NH location.
Tuttle comes to Dyn from gaming and tech industries, having recently spent the better part of the last five years in varying editorial roles at IGN Entertainment. He brings his considerable experience and network to Dyn in his role as a Senior Account Representative.
The two share office space at 92 Natoma Street and recently held a DynTini event to celebrate the opening with San Francisco-based managed DNS and Email Delivery clients like Wikia, Fastly, Flite (formerly Widgetbox), Whisper Systems and more.
A third Senior Account Representative, Kevin Romani, starts his career at Dyn in mid-November, coming from the world of wholesale exotic flower and plant distribution. In typical Dyn fashion, the company has targeted a diverse group of talent in its sales organization with very specific vertical industry experience.
“The vibe in the Bay for tech and business in general is amazing,” Smith said. “Having a physical presence out here makes a lot of sense for us and we’re excited for what’s to come. The constant sunshine and proximity to surfing isn’t too bad either.”
