Dyn Closes 2015 With Key Product Launch and Strategic Hires

Global Growth and Strong Shift to Enterprise Mark Impressive Year for Internet Performance Leader

Manchester, NH (February 24, 2016) — Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet Performance Management (IPM), today announced that Q4 2015 was another record revenue quarter for the company and its third consecutive quarter of record year over year recurring revenue growth. In addition, Dyn’s continued shift toward more Enterprise-level customers drove a greater than 40 percent improvement in average selling price compared to Q4 of 2014.

“Three consecutive quarters of record subscription revenue growth marks an exciting milestone for Dyn and continues to validate the company’s emphasis on the Internet Performance Management space for 2016 and beyond,” said Kevin Bisson, CFO, Dyn. “The Internet Performance Management message is gaining traction, as companies view Internet Infrastructure as a mission-critical component of their business operations, a message we will continue to promote with Enterprise customers in the coming year.”

Dyn capped off a strong 2015 with the launch of its new Internet Intelligence (II) product in October. II is a vendor-agnostic SaaS offering that shows a company’s full global cloud provider, Content Delivery Network (CDN) and data centers on one dashboard, allowing IT executives to see how real-time availability, reachability, and performance issues impact their own customers.

“Dyn’s Internet Intelligence goes beyond anything else on the market because it pinpoints the exact location of an external network issue and allows us to mitigate the situations before they become larger problems,” said Engin Akyol, CTO and Co-Founder of Distil Networks.

Dyn Recognized by IDC, Gartner

IDC, a trusted source of information for Enterprise-level customers, published an article on Dyn’s capabilities during the quarter, underscoring the company’s value to top global Internet-dependent companies. IDC published a vendor profile titled “Dyn’s Internet Performance Portfolio Offers Improved Visibility, Traffic Management, and User Experience.” Gartner, another trusted source, has listed Dyn as a representative vendor for DNSaaS in the August 2015 Gartner report, “If External DNS Fails, So Does Your Digital Business.” It is noted in the report, “For enterprises with Web- and cloud-based applications and content, external DNS solutions offer reliability, performance, and traffic management beyond that of traditional open-source-based solutions.”

Key Human Capital Hires

Q4 was also a strong quarter for Human Capital growth, with Dyn making several key strategic Enterprise-focused hires.

Significant investment was made in global sales, with Chris Reisig named SVP, Worldwide Sales and Services and Sunil Sampat hired as VP, Enterprise Sales. Dyn also added Jennifer Tsang, Director of Sales Enablement and Armen Zildjian, Director of Sales Efficiency.

Dyn in the News

During Q4 2015, Dyn was prominently featured in a significant 3-part New York Times story on Internet gambling, noting Dyn as a source for significant insights into Internet traffic flows for the story.  As a true thought leader in Internet governance and policy issues, Dyn also hosted several top presidential candidates to its Manchester office, including Senator Marco Rubio, former Governor Jeb Bush, Dr. Ben Carson and former Governor Martin O’Malley.
