Rock-Solid Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS): DNS & Email
We’re excited to announce that Dyn Inc. has acquired SendLabs, a New Hampshire based email service provider. A formal announcement will come in early 2011, but we wanted to welcome the SendLabs team and its clients to the Dyn family and inform our audience of our strategic growth plans in the email space.
Quoting Jeremy Hitchcock, Dyn CEO, “We’ve been offering our four core Mailhop email services on DynDNS.com for years and have a built up a nice consumer/SMB customer base. With the acquisition of SendLabs, we bring aboard a team of email experts, primarily product and engineering resources, to our already growing Dyn team (20 hires in Q3/Q4 of 2010). We plan on offering email delivery services to anyone who sends mail, notably Web enterprises, such as those using our Dynect DNS Platform.”
With this move, Dyn further commits itself to being an IaaS provider for everyone from the consumer to the biggest of online brands. What we’ve done for the world of DNS we plan on doing for the email space. Stay tuned for much more in 2011. Happy New Year!
