Does your DNS really support ‘Advanced Record Types’?

One of the major challenges facing IT professionals today is making sure that as their infrastructure grows and scales that it remains easy to use, able to integrate with other technologies and doesn’t become too complex.

This can happen when using third party vendors because they offer basic services that you may only need in the beginning but as you scale and the complexity increases they fail to deliver the additional features and functions you need to be successful.

Managing DNS and advanced DNS records is an excellent example of this. Advanced DNS records go beyond A Records, CNAMEs, and MX Records and can include the likes of DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), Sender Policy Framework (SFP), PTR, and Certification Authority Authorization (CAA) Records. Yet most DNS providers are unable to support these, leaving you with an infrastructure that is difficult to navigate, troubleshoot, and deliver against efficiently.

Our Solutions Engineer, Sandy Caiado, will discuss the issue of advanced record types in our upcoming webinar, which will be held on March 27, at 1 p.m. EDT. Joining Sandy will be Josh Nason, our reputation manager, who will share how these records affect email deliverability. These are important topics for ensuring your infrastructure runs smoothly when your business needs it the most.
