We hear many stories (and we love them, so keep sending them in!) about users who have been with us since our DynDNS.org days that are surprised to learn that we have paid services and even an enterprise platform. If you use DynDNS.com services, we wanted to let you know about our additional DynDNS® Platform home services as well as our new Dynect℠Platform enterprise services.
As we look back on our 10 years, we’ve enjoyed watching the DynDNS.com community grow. When we started, dynamic DNS was not well understood, nor was it integrated into virtually every home networking device. Our Dynamic DNS service is and will continue to be free, and the thousands of early donators continue to enjoy a perpetual credit for helping us get started.
Since we have added so many things to make the Internet more usable, we want to take a moment to highlight some services that you may not be aware we offer. Beyond our free DNS services, we offer a number of paid services we thought we’d remind you about, which we are happy to offer at a variety of price points:
- Custom DNS – DNS hosting/management for your domain. If you have a domain name, you should use Custom DNS to manage your domain name. You can continue to use dynamic DNS, have many more records, and create AAAA and other DNS records types. Want your own name or want to transfer it to us? Start right here.
- MailHop® Forward, Relay, and Backup MX – Receive and control mail for your domain. If you just want to professionalize your home office or small business, use our MailHop Forward service to forward joe@domain.com to whatever you use for mail. Run your own mail server and accept mail on a variety of ports to get around port blocks. Both services have a number of spam, white and black list filter, and viruses discarding to make your mailbox more manageable. Learn more here.
- MailHop® Outbound – Ever have problems getting email to someone because of your ISP or you were somewhere that did not have an outgoing mail server? Use MailHop Outbound and send mail from anywhere. You can get started here.
The other thing that we wanted to mention is our Dynect Platform.
