February 26-28, Team 501 will be competing at the BAE Regional. Doors open at 8:30 am and we’d like to see people there. It’s a heck of a cool experience and you’ll get to see some of Manchester’s and New Hampshire’s brilliant young minds at work. We’ve spent 3 years with the team and this quite the robot that they put together.
FIRST releases information about a game at the same time to every team (thousands across the world), this year it was January 3. The teams are given basic kit parts and several weeks to design, manufacture, program, and test the robot before competing. This year’s competition is Lunacy – a simulation of being on the moon by using low-friction wheels and arena surfaces. When you see what these kids have accomplished, you’ll see why we’re proud of Team 501.
