This past week, I accompanied our Chief Technologist Cory von Wallenstein on a “road show” trip to the West Coast with stops in Portland, Oregon, and Cupertino, California.
The setup was simple enough: team up with one of our current clients at each stop to give a lunchtime presentation about what Dyn does for them and how we do it. The audience consisted of a mix of current and prospective Dyn users, as well as the “DNS curious”.
Each event was different but overall, it was a really positive experience. As an company from the East Coast, any chance we get to make our presence felt out on the other coast is worth it, whether it’s the potential client who wanted to know more about us or the person that was unfamiliar with who we are as a company and brand.
There were also a fair number of existing users who just stopped by to meet Cory and remind us why they use Dyn for their DNS and email delivery needs. The feedback we received on the spot from each group was phenomenal. We engaged them in a conversation about Dyn, where we are going, and why they should be a part of it.
In Portland, we met up with Eric Rosenberry from Iovation. Eric has been a longtime Dyn customer and is also a member of our Customer Advisory Board (CAB). Eric spoke about how he and Iovation work together with Dyn.
Of course, no trip is complete without one of our infamous Dyntinis, which we hosted in downtown San Francisco on the last night of our trip.
As an Executive Assistant, I don’t get to interact with our customers very often. But when I do, the feedback and love of Dyn as a brand is always so positive. Tweet us on where we should take the roadshow next!
Update: Here is Cory & Eric’s slide deck from the show!
