Remember when Speed 2: Cruise Control got snubbed out of an Oscar back in 1997? Neither do we, but August is an exciting time to be involved with Dyn.
Our friends at NetDNA are organizing the first Speed Awareness Month and were kind enough to ask the world’s fastest DNS provider to participate. (That’s us, by the way.)
Speed Awareness Month is an educational program designed to help website owners learn about the importance of improving their website speeds and build up awareness on what sort of impact it can have on growing web traffic.
The mastermind behind this: David Henzel, VP of Marketing at NetDNA.
“I am very excited to see so many companies and individuals participating in the SpeedAwarenessMonth.com,” Henzel said. “The tips and free tools offered during this month will be a huge help for web masters to find out what the bottlenecks of their sites are and how to remove them.”
Dyn, CatchPoint & Torbit (both sponsors of our recent Velocity ’12 event) MaxCDN, Panopta, UberTags, Stackoverflow and Lognormal are all providing tips and giving away some free tools to analyze speed throughout the month of August on the Speed Awareness Month website.
Check out what we’re giving away and join the conversation on Twitter using the #speedmonth hashtag.
