Red Hat, Distil Networks, SiteSpect & CatchPoint Join Dyn’s Thought Leader Council

Manchester, NH (June 20, 2013) – Dyn, the worldwide leader in Internet Infrastructure as a Service, announced Mike McGrath of Red Hat, Rami Essaid of Distil Networks, Eric J. Hansen of SiteSpect and Mehdi Daoudi of Catchpoint as the newest members of their Thought Leader Council (TLC), which informally advises the company on their brand, products and future growth.

The TLC was formed in 2009 and initially dubbed “a sounding board and launching pad” in which some of Dyn’s most interesting and diverse enterprise clients could come together and share their insight with executives and managers.Dyn TLC logo

“I joined the TLC because I am not only a customer, but an avid fan of Dyn and the innovations they are bringing to DNS,” said Essaid, CEO of Distil Networks. “The ability to be a part of those innovative discussions about the future excites my inner geek.”

The four new TLC members join Josh Bancroft of Box, Artur Bergman of Fastly, John Adams of Twitter, Kai Gray of UpThere, Mike Rembetsy of Etsy, Kevin Chu of Digitaria, Mark Imbriaco of Github, Brandon Mason of DataSong, Lenny Tropiano of HomeAway and Jason Evans of Stackpop on the council.

“Dyn has long been an innovator in the DNS space and I am honored and humbled to participate in the TLC among other great companies like Etsy and Twitter,” said Daoudi, CEO of Catchpoint.

The group meets each year at Dyn’s 60,000 square foot corporate headquarters in Manchester, New Hampshire, to hear updates, learn more about the company’s vision, and provide suggestions for improvements. Dyn has a long history of taking seriously the feedback of clients and prospects.

“It’s their responsiveness to issues and questions we have that keep us around,” said McGrath, Principal OpenShift Architect and Online Operations Manager at Red Hat.

This year’s meeting is particularly special as it precedes Geek Summer Camp, a first of its kind conference for the web performance and Internet Infrastructure industry. The conference, which will be held Aug. 7 – Aug. 8 and is completely free, will feature some of the biggest names in tech innovation and web performance including Dean Kamen, Cricket Liu and Joshua Baer.

Various members of the TLC will be hard at work lending their expertise to a variety of panels and workshops on issues including speed and optimization, scalability and redundancy, security and DDoS and managing/controlling infrastructure.

Registration is now open, but the number of passes available is limited.

“Dyn has long benefited from the collective experience of and collaboration with the members of the TLC,” said Matt Toy, Dyn VP, Client Services. “Now we’re collaborating with them again, but this time, we’re opening it up to the public the combination of which we believe will make Geek Summer Camp the can’t miss tech event of the summer.”
