There’s a lot of great reasons that Dyn is regarded as a top Internet Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider that is set up for success in email delivery, but in the interests of time, I had to whittle it down to just 10 reasons why you should move your mail stream to Dyn. (There’s more. Maybe I should write a book.)
If you’ve never heard of us before or know just for DNS, consider this your introduction. If you’re already a Dyn customer, consider this another confidence boost for your continued support.
Before you start, have a look at our mission statement. We live, breathe and are defined by our people, our process and our products.
Our Tech Hearts Beat IaaS
So what’s IaaS, you ask? Think of it as core infrastructure for your web solutions, the back end that powers uptime, speed and the arrival of email in the inbox. We power Email Delivery and Managed DNS services for some of the biggest names on the internet. On the email side, we run all the associated infrastructure that sends email, maintains IP reputation, oversee dedicated and shared IP pools, collect all bounce and complaints feedback, provide open and click tracking and then package all of that into web-hosted API reporting.
Network Reputation Process
We’re proud of what we do. To keep our business sustainable, we feel our network reputation is #1. That’s why we have a detailed vetting process that ensures we understand our clients’ mail streams and set them up for success.
If a mail stream is identified to be harmful to our network reputation (and therefore harmful to our customers), we make sure that stream is removed from the network.
A Focus on Deliverability
We have a focus on deliverability…in typical Dyn style. We’ve built our infrastructure around deliverability, automating insights, alerts, and actions to team. Additionally, we’re hitting our stride making this feedback even more timely, insightful and automated so you don’t have to worry about your email delivery program.
Highly Available Infrastructure
Coming out of the DNS industry where highly available services are essential to a company’s web presence, Dyn has gained the experience to set our Email Delivery product up for success. We operate in nearly 20 Anycast global data centers, built on our own hardware that has been chosen, set up and monitored for success. You can count on us to always be available — something we back up in our Service Level Agreement.
Reputation Is The Key
The key to ensuring the success of your mail is through separation of reputation. We can do this through many methods of separating IP space, return paths, or more. In recent months, you may have seen the following video introducing you to The Most Reputable Sender In The World. However, this man isn’t an actor: he’s a very real person named Steve Wheeler, our Director of Deliverability. His primary goal is to ensure that we stay in line with industry best practices and help our customers get their email to the inbox the right way.
Dyn is used to being thought leaders in the IaaS industry and we’ve established a team that is doing just that in Email Delivery. We’re members of MAAWG, contributors to Deliverability.com and attend other email industry events that help sharpen our skills and spread the knowledge to make a better industry. Check out our blog or see us at an event for near-daily posts about everything from IaaS to culture to more.
Our Onboarding Process
Whenever you’re starting with a company like ours or switching providers, there can be fear or trepidation about the process. We realized that and have built an incredible Implementation staff that will set you up for success. We have customized ramp-up schedules based on your mail and IP setup within DynECT Email Delivery, and we’ll be able to monitor and ensure that your individual onboarding process goes smoothly. Your success is our success.
We’ve built our platform to scale with our network base, providing you with a cost effective solution that will grow with your business growth. Whether you’re sending 1000 messages a month or 1 billion messages, we’ll be there for you.
The Experience & Drive
It wasn’t an overnight decision for Dyn to get into the email delivery business. Our company has been around for over a decade and has offered smaller scale email delivery products along the way. When the team decided it was time to go enterprise, we knew that we needed deliverability expertise and systems in place to help promote that. That’s why we acquired Sendlabs over two years ago. The vast majority of that team still works at Dyn and has set up our Email Delivery and Deliverability processes for success.
Dyn’s support has been regarded as the best in the industry. Our Concierge staff is extremely well educated, responsive, and work closely with our internal teams to get you what you need. Just look through a few of these email case studies (especially Seeking Alpha & Spiceworks) and you’ll see some common threads.
