Adding a record number of new clients, new infrastructure services and a new office space, Dyn celebrates a successful Q1
MANCHESTER, NH – (Marketwire – April 19, 2011) – Dyn (formerly Dynamic Network Services Inc.), an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider specializing in DNS and email delivery, today announces a successful and profitable first quarter, surpassing ambitious revenue projections.
Noteworthy accomplishments for the company include the account upgrades of over seventy enterprise clients, key partner integration initiatives with Joyent, Kentico and Heroku as well as the addition of over 100 new clients including Etsy, J.Jill, StumbleUpon, Sling Media, Quora and more. In Q1 alone, Dyn nearly matched aggregate new enterprise revenue secured in all of 2010.
This announcement comes less than four months after the company announced the addition of a suite of email delivery services to their product set, solidifying them as one of the world’s fastest-growing providers of mission critical, Internet infrastructure solutions. The company who began as a startup in a Massachusetts college dorm room is proud to have stayed true to its roots, remaining self-funded since its humble beginnings over twelve years ago.
“This is an incredible time to be part of Dyn. We are expanding in all areas – more clients, more partner integrations and a growing team of people with expertise in a variety of areas,” said Jeremy Hitchcock, CEO at Dyn. “We are part of an industry that evolves and scales faster than any other. We are committed to staying ahead of the demand and blazing a trail in our own unique way,” he added.
In order to accommodate an employee count that has gone from fifteen in 2007 to over seventy today, the company is also moving office locations. “We are only moving one street away, but it’s a spacious 23,000 square foot renovated mill that will give us room to grow and the ability to design an environment that reflects our culture,” commented Kyle York, VP of Sales and Marketing at Dyn. “We are excited to get settled at our new location and open the doors to our clients and supporters that have helped us achieve this success,” he added.
With so much growth, the company is also updating the way they talk about their brand. “We’ve gone through big changes over the years, starting as DynDNS.org to being known as Dynamic Network Services Inc. with multiple DNS-based technologies,” added York. “Moving forward, we want to ensure our message is clear: we provide core infrastructure solutions, focusing on managed DNS and email delivery. Why do it yourself when we do it better?”
With such an explosive start to the year, Dyn plans to keep the momentum going, continuing to provide innovative solutions through a variety of integrations, partnerships and new business development. “When we were looking to improve our DNS, we decided to go with the focused pros and the process to switch was quick and painless,” said John Allspaw, VP of Technical Operations at Etsy. “Dyn helped Etsy’s performance improve across the board.”
